Use RationalGrid to open a research question, compare views, and connect evidence to the ideas it concerns. When the shape of the inquiry becomes clearer, export it as Markdown and continue developing your notes in Notion or Obsidian.
A complementary workflow
Notion and Obsidian are strong places to maintain knowledge and develop finished work. RationalGrid can sit before them: use it while you are still discovering the important questions, disagreements, and sources, then move the useful result into the system where your long-term work already lives.

From question to knowledge base
The goal is not to export every branch. It is to discover and select what deserves a permanent place in your notes.
Start with the question, then branch into answers, challenges, evidence, sources, and follow-up questions.
Inspect important sources, distinguish evidence from interpretation, and challenge weak assumptions.
Remove dead ends, add notes explaining significance, and keep the paths worth developing.
Download the grid as Markdown, then continue the selected material in Notion or Obsidian.
Bring the selected Markdown into the workspace where you coordinate projects and develop shared documents. Reshape it into project pages, literature notes, databases, tasks, or a polished research brief, depending on how your workspace is organised.
Place the exported Markdown in your vault, then break durable concepts into focused notes and connect them to existing material. Keep a link back to the original grid when the full branching context remains useful.
RationalGrid exports a readable Markdown representation, but it does not directly synchronise with Notion or Obsidian. The interactive visual layout and some grid-specific context cannot be reproduced completely in a linear document. Keep the original grid when you may need to inspect or extend that context later.
Not currently. The workflow uses a Markdown export rather than direct synchronisation or an API integration.
